Who is not suitable for a sphygmomanometer?

Feb 19, 2021
Nowadays, home blood pressure monitors have become a must-have medical product for every household, but not everyone is suitable for blood pressure monitors, specifically the following groups:

1. In the case of arrhythmia, the person's heart beats at an abnormal speed, which may even affect blood pressure. In this case, the blood pressure measured will be incorrect, so people with arrhythmia should not use an electronic sphygmomanometer.

2. Obese people use electronic blood pressure timers. At this time, fat accumulation in the body will affect the results of blood pressure measurement.

3. The heart rate of some hypertensive patients is abnormal. If the heart rate is less than 40 beats per minute, or the heart rate exceeds 240 beats per minute, it is an abnormal situation. In this case, do not use an electronic blood pressure monitor.
